In the end, this section was so much different that what I had with my twins. It was different than the section the doctor wanted me to do the Thursday before birth. This was our choice, and it was a very last effort, after all other options were exhausted. I’m so proud of my body for laboring 72 hours unmediated, with terrible Covid symptoms. Just me, my baby, my husband and my daughter for all of early labor at home. My husband was SO amazing at the hospital, he cleaned every bit of fluid, poop and anything else from my body as I labored. He was team lead the entire labor and kept me grounded. All nurses were so impressed with his high level of involvement. He was my champion. He was in my face, holding me, helping me, telling me what a “f champion” I was the entire time. He was crying with me, and just keeping me so motivated. Even during the c-section. I am so grateful for my labor team, my husband and my daughter. This whole pregnancy and experiences was incredibly healing for me.
